Through comprehensive initiatives such as cross-industry exchange, new product development, the preservation of traditional techniques, next-generation training, public outreach, and market expansion, we strive to revitalize the local economy and contribute to regional development.

  • Association for Indigo Industry

    Founded in 2019 with the goal of inheriting the tradition of “Awa Ai (Indigo)” and further developing it for the future, the association carries out a wide range of activities. These include hosting exhibitions both within and outside the prefecture, collaborating with local resort hotels, and developing collaborative products with designers. The association is actively working to promote the charm of Awa Ai both domestically and internationally.

  • Tokushima Wood and Bamboo Industry Cooperative Federation

    Founded in 1958, this is a historically significant organization. It has made substantial contributions not only to Tokushima’s woodworking industry but also to the local economy’s development. The association continues various efforts aimed at advancing Tokushima as a furniture-producing region, including inviting designers for product development, conducting visits to furniture production areas both domestically and internationally, and jointly accepting contracts for furniture.

  • Otani Yaki Pottery Industry Association

    6 kilns from Otani Yaki in Oasa-town, Naruto City, are members of this association. The six kilns take the lead in organizing events that showcase their works and promote interaction with the local community, fostering a strong connection with the region. While preserving tradition, they aim to create designs that match modern lifestyles and are actively working to shape a new image for Otani Yaki pottery.

  • Tokushima Karaki Butsudan Cooperative Federation

    The federation consisting of five associations of Tokushima’s Karaki Butsudan (Buddhist altar) manufacturers, boasting the highest shipment value in Japan. In 2007, “Tokushima Karaki Butsudan” was registered as a regional collective trademark. The federation engages in activities such as exhibitions of crafted works and installations at retail stores to differentiate products from other regions, protect Tokushima-made products, and enhance brand value.

  • Awa Shijira Ori Cooperative Association

    The association, composed of manufacturers with over 100 years of history, is dedicated to promoting the spread of Awa Shijira Ori (Fabrics) through various initiatives. These include product development in collaboration with external designers and creating PR brochures to share information. They continue to challenge the new possibilities of Awa Shijira Ori.

  • Awa Handmade Washi Paper Industry Cooperative Association

    Engaged in the manufacturing, retail, and wholesale of handmade washi paper. Utilizing traditional techniques, the unique texture and character of handmade paper are highly regarded both domestically and internationally in various fields such as art, architecture, and interior design.
