Contributions not only to Tokushima’s woodworking industry
but also to the local economy’s development.

The federation is composed of two associations: the Tokushima Furniture Industries Cooperative (TFI), a collective of furniture manufacturers and wholesalers, and the Tokushima Interior Products Cooperative (TIP), an association of furniture and interior-related manufacturers.

Established in 1958, this historically significant organization has made substantial contributions not only to Tokushima’s woodworking industry but also to the local economy’s development. From the following year of its founding, the furniture exhibition held locally in Tokushima attracted buyers from across the country, facilitating active business transactions.

Since the 2000s, the federation has expanded its efforts to include participation in trade fairs across Japan, including the Tokyo International Furniture Fair, as well as in places such as Okawa, Shizuoka, and Fuchu, focusing on expanding sales channels.

Additionally, the federation continues various initiatives aimed at developing Tokushima as a furniture-producing region, such as product development in collaboration with designers, visits to domestic and international furniture-producing areas, and joint contracts for contract furniture.
