Founded in 1959, Fuji Furniture has been manufacturing and selling furniture in Tokushima for over 60 years. Tokushima was once the base of the Hachisuka clan's navy, where shipbuilders and carpenters gathered, honing their craft. During the day, shipbuilders repaired and constructed ships, while at night, they handcrafted wooden products as side jobs. It is said that these shipbuilders laid the foundation for the production of Japanese and Western-style furniture in Japan. Fuji Furniture was established in 1959 as a manufacturer specializing in seating sets, built by skilled craftsmen who inherited the furniture-making techniques of Tokushima. While continuing to propose comfortable and modern lifestyles, they have evolved from exporting furniture overseas to creating furniture for Japanese customers, all while researching how to better integrate Western furniture into Japanese culture and living spaces.

    Through over 40 years of in-house production experience and achievements in molded plywood, they have developed one of Japan’s leading technical capabilities for realizing designs with difficult curved surfaces and shapes in solid wood. Their exploration continues to this day, and through research on materials and advancements in technology, they have overcome previously considered design barriers, creating new designs. Today, they not only focus on molded plywood but also on product development that utilizes solid wood, as well as the combination of molded plywood and solid wood, maximizing the strengths of both materials. In order to provide furniture that will be loved for generations, they are dedicated to the exploration of technology and materials, aiming to create products that only Fuji Furniture can produce.
