For nearly half a century, they worked as woodworking craftsmen in Tokushima City, manufacturing vanity tables and Buddhist altars. However, in 2011, they began manufacturing and selling bamboo craft products under the name "Aki Kogei."

    In the manufacturing process, they are committed to using bamboo from Tokushima Prefecture and indigo dyeing, with each product carefully crafted by a single artisan with dedication and attention to detail. Since all products are handmade, each design has subtle differences, which is a characteristic feature. Cups and mugs are finished with wood ceramic coating, approved under the Food Sanitation Law, ensuring they are safe to use. However, it is recommended to avoid using dishwashers for cleaning.
